16003A California's New Safety Law SB-198 California passed a new safety law in January 1990 outlining new requirements and standards for safety program development and implementation. Although the law only applies to California businesses, it should be reviewed by employers in other states as it contains excellent information relating to safety program development, documentation and enforcement efforts. This law is a blueprint for things to come in every part of the nation for those companies striving to improve their safety programs. (16 min.)
