This course covers basic guidelines and best practices for working safely with overhead industrial cranes. Based on OSHA standards and recognized industry best practices, it is intended as an introductory or refresher course for general industry workers who will either operate or work near floor-controlled overhead cranes.
This course is focused on floor-operated overhead cranes, although many of the concepts will apply to all cranes. This course is not a substitute for hands-on training with a specific model of crane, or for training at a specific worksite.
